Auditions are held prior to, or at the first rehearsal of each of our four concerts. Auditions will be scheduled next on January 7, 2012, 9 to 11 am at Golden Gate High School. Instrumentalists and vocalists of all 
ages are invited to call 239-676-0077 for an appointment. (See below for additional contacts and directions.) We have members from Europe and Canada, seasonal and year-round residents, a few high school and college students and, of course, adults of all ages.
Both instrumentalists and vocalists should come prepared with a short (one minute) selection of their own choosing. You may then be asked to play or sing simple scales and to sight-read a passage. Singers should be able to read musical notation.
Our season is from November through April. Orchestra and chorus rehearsals start early in November for the December concert. Rehearsals for the February concerts start the first week of January. Rehearsals for the spring concerts commence 
immediately after the February concerts. The church concerts are performed in the week prior to Easter and rehearsals for these concerts are in the two weeks prior to Palm Sunday.
Our regular concerts and rehearsals are held at Golden Gate High School. Click on Golden Gate High School for directions. Except for school holidays, orchestra rehearsals have been scheduled on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:30 but this may be changed to a weekday evening. The chorus rehearses are on Monday evenings from 6:30 to 9. A set-up/strike set time of approximately one half hour on both ends of each rehearsal needs to be added.
