If you can play an instrument or sing, join us. Auditions are held prior to, or at the first rehearsal of each of our four concerts. Instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages are invited to call for an appointment. (See below for contacts.) We have members from Europe and Canada, seasonal and year-round residents, a few high school and college students and, of course, adults of all ages.

The first auditons for the 2010-2011 season will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at Golden Gate High School starting at 9 am. Both instrumentalists and vocalists should come prepared with a short (one minute) selection of their own choosing. You may then be asked to play or sing simple scales and to sight-read a passage. Singers should be able to read musical notation.

Our season is from November through April. Orchestra rehearsals start on Saturday, October 30, 9-11 AM and chorus rehearsals begin on Tuesday, November 2, 6:30 to 9. Rehearsals for the February concerts start the first week of January. Rehearsals for the spring concerts commence immediately after the February concerts. The church concerts are performed in the week prior to Easter and rehearsals for these concerts are in the two weeks prior to Palm Sunday.

Our regular concerts and rehearsals are held at Golden Gate High School. Click on Golden Gate High School for directions. Except for school holidays, orchestra rehearsals are scheduled on Saturday mornings from 9:00 to 11:30. The chorus rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 9. A set-up/strike set time of approximately one half hour on both ends of each rehearsal needs to be added.
